Nidahas Trophy PREVIEW

So finally Nidahas trophy is going to start in two days.The cricket lovers of 3 nations are very excited for this tournament. Hi this is Tanim from frenzytitans360. Today I've come up with a new content. In today's content i'm going to write about the Nidahas trophy 2018. It is a T20 tri-nation series. India Bangladesh and Sri Lanka this three Nations are participating in the tri-nation series.

 This series has been organized to give a tribute to Sri lanka's 70th independence day. This is a very good step taken by the Sri Lanka cricket board to held this series. Three teams are going to fight very hard to win the series. All the teams are practicing hard for it. The first match is going to be played between India and Sri Lanka on 6 march. The final will be held on 18 march.All the matches of the tri nation series will be played at premadasa stadium, Colombo. All the match will start at 6.30 pm local time. Now let's see what are the chances of the teams and which players are the trump cards for their team to win the series.

 India: There is no question about that india will be the favorites to win the tri-nation series. Their position is 3rd in the ICC T20 ranking right now. So they rank higher than Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Their present T20 form is quite outstanding. Recently they have won the 3 match T20 series against south Africa . Their last 10 T20 international record is that the they have won 7 and lost only 3. So they are having a very good time at the moment. But team India will not going to have their their full powered team. Virat Kohli, Ms Dhoni, Bhubaneswar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, this important players have given a rest in this series. India has a very busy schedule in 2018. So this players are being rested for now.So it is a bit of relief for the other two teams. Because this players possesses a great threat to the opposition side

 Rohit Sharma will captain the team in this series. He has to take the extra responsibility in the absence of Kohli. He has a very good record against both Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Recently he scored the fastest T20 hundred against Sri Lanka. If he manages to play a big innings it will be easy for the team to score big total. On the hand his opening partner Shikhar Dhawan is in tremendous form. He Scored 72 runs against South africa in the 1st T20 match. So his having a great time with the bat. Also there is another wonderful player who has proved himself and he is Manish Pandey. He scored 79 runs in the 2nd T20 against South Africa. So he is also in great form. Also there is Suresh Raina and KL Rahul. Shuresh Raina is an explosive batsman. Kl Rahul is also a fantastic player. He has one international T20 hundred. This two can really play vital role in India's batting department. Young talent Rishabh Pant can also play a vital role. He is a really good hard hitting batsman. So India's top and middle order is very strong and overall their batting line up is absolutely amazing.

 Now lets see what weapons India have in their arsenal in the bowling department.As Bumrah and Bhuvneswar kumar will not play in the series India's bowling will be comparatively less strong. So lot will depend on Jaidev unadkat. He is a really good bowler. He doesn't have high speed. But his main weapon is the slower delivery. He is a death bowling specialist. He has a wonderful slow delivery that can deceive the batsman. His partner will be Shardul Thakur in the pace bowling unit. He also has a good slower delivery. But Rohit Sharma's real trump card could be Yujvendra Chahal. He is a terrific leg spinner. He has a deadly googly also very good with the usual leg break. In his short T20 career he played 16 matches and took 27 wickets. It is very hard for the batsman to pick him up which delivery his gonna bowl. He could be very dangerous if the bowl starts to grip. His partner will be Washington sundar. His a wonderful off break bowler.Really good young talent. But one thing India will lack is that their bowling unit does not have enough experience in the international arena. But however India is a very strong opponent for Bangladesh and India. India's head to head record against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka is that they played 5 against Bangladesh and won all. India played 13 against Sri lanka and won 9. So they have total domination over This two teams. If india play to their potential it will be very hard for Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

 Bangladesh: Bangladesh is not having a great time in international T20's. Bangladesh will miss their most important and valuable player Shakib Al Hasan. He will not be featuring in this series because recently he has caught a finger injury. Going into this series this is a massive loss for Bangladesh. But still Bangladesh is a pretty balanced team. They've got some really good players. Opening batsman Soumya Sarkar is in good form. Recently he scored a fifty against Sri Lanka in the two match T20 series. Also he had a good last year in T20's with the bat. When he gets going the team does well. But a lot will depend on his opening partner Tamim Iqbal. He is the leading run scorer for Bangladesh in T20's. He can really bat through the innings which helps the team to post a good total. He has 4 T20 fifty's. Mushiqur Rahim is another important player. Recently he scored a fifty against Sri Lanka. Though his T20 record is not so eye catching. But he's very elegant looking batsman. Captain Mahamudullah Riyad will also gonna play vital role. He is the heart of Bangladesh's middle order. This are the batsman that has to well with the bat in hand. Shabbir Rahman will play the role of a finisher. He is a good T20 player. He can really play big shots. He strikes the bowl cleanly. Areful haque can also play the same roll. He had a really good BPL. So Bangladesh's batting is quite strong.

 But Bangladesh lack a bit of quality in the bowling department. Their biggest weakness is their pace bowling. Specially in the death overs the pacers are giving away too many runs . In last 4 T20 matches team Bangladesh have massively suffered because of pace bowling. In this series Mustafizur Rahman could be Mahamudullah's trump card. A lot will depend on him specially in the death overs. His cutter is the main weapon. It has bothered lots of batsman's. He played 19 T20 matches for Bangladesh and took 28 wickets. So his T20 record is quite brilliant. If he bowls to his full potential he can really make the run scoring hard for the opposition team. For this series Tashkin Ahmed has been called. His got the chance to prove himself. He has good pace. Rubel hossain will also be a important bowler. He really bowls at high speed. Recently he has improved bowling the yorkers which is very effective in the back end of the innings. Mahedi Miraj and Najmul islam Opu are the important bowlers in the spin bowling department. If the pitch provides some help for the spinners they could be really deadly. But Bangladesh's concern is that their recent form. In last 10 T20's They lost 9 matches and won only one. Their head to head record against India and Sri lanka is very poor. Bangladesh didn't won any T20 against India. Also they have only won 2 T20's against Sri Lanka. But statistics does not play any part in cricket. So if Bangladesh play their best cricket they will be the strong candidate to win the tri-nation series.

 Sri Lanka: As Sri lanka are the hosts for the tri nation series they will definitely back themselves to win it. Like Bangladesh Sri Lanka will miss their regular captain and important all round player Angelo matthews. They will definitely feel the absence of him. Recently Sri Lanka won the 2 match T20 series against Bangladesh. Under the coaching of Chandika Hathurusinghe Sri Lanka is completly a changed side. In the batting department Danushka Gunathilaka and kusal mendis will be important batsman in the top order. Kusal mendis scored 2 fifty's against Bangladesh. He is in tremendous form. He's a really classy batsman. His opening partner Gunathilaka is an explosive batsman. He can really hit the bowl hard. He has quite a few shots up his sleeve. If this two can build up a good partnership it will make the other batsman's to come in and play shots. Sri lanks's middle order is very strong. Dinesh Chandimal will captained the side. He's a pretty good player. Recently Dasun Shanaka proved himself as a power hitter against Bangladesh. He can really hit the bowl long. But Thisara perera could really be the finisher for Sri Lanka. He has a tremendous ball striking ability. He is a wonderful power hitter. If he can smack the bowling in the death over The team will able to post a good total. His T20 strike rate is 150.26 which is really brilliant. So Sri Lanka's batting order is very strong

 Sri Lanka's bowling is also quite balanced. Akila Dhananjaya could really be Chandimal's trump card in the bowling department. He' a right arm unorthodox bowler. He can bowl the leg break off break and the slider. Batsman could hardly pick his delivery. He could very dengereou if the pitch gets slow and starts to provide help for the spinners. He played 11 T20 matches and took 8 wickets. So he has to prove himself. And this series could be the perfect opportunity. Amila Aponso will be his partner. He is a left arm Orthodox bowler. Shuranga Lakmal, Dushmanta Chamera, Parera will be important bowlers in the pace bowling unit. Perera has really built himself as a death bowler specialist. His really good with the slower bowl and the yorker. Shuranga Lakmal is really good with the new bowl. Chameera bowls at a good speed. So overall Sri Lanka's bowling line up is very good.

 It is quite assuming that the wickets of premadasa will be flat. So the people can expect the matches to be high scoring. All the teams are very much capable of winning the series.
