RAZER Basilisk

hey guys,it's Mashhud Hasan from frenzyweb360.i'm here with another overview of Razer's most recent, the Razer Basilisk.with the name of my creator,i want to start this overview.well before starting i want to inform you that i didn't use this mouse practically but according to users' using experiences and specs,i've made this overview.

well,Razer Basilisk has already became well known for being an FPS mouse.this mouse contains one of the most hyped sensors in the world and has an excellent size and shape with some of the coolest features.without further thinking, let's go to the bottom of it's in-depth analysis.
let's talk about it's size, shape and weight.it's shape is pretty similar to Logitech G502's and the palm rest is pretty extended,so maybe palm grippers will feel the comfort of using this mouse.the chassis has a pretty decent look and the cable is braided.it has a thumb rest at it's left.

Basilisk has a total of 8 buttons, left & right buttons,a scroll wheel, two DPI buttons for increasing & decreasing the DPI,two side buttons and a sniper button.they've offered 3 types of DPI clutches, varies by size.according to rocket jump ninja's review, the scroll wheel of the mouse rattles but overall the build quality is very good.there's a dial underneath of the mouse to tweak the sensitivity of scroll wheel.the sniper button is very helpful for FPS gamers cause while targeting any object that is far from the own position, gamers might need to change the DPI immediately for that specific moment.
the name of the left &right button is D2FC-F-K(50M)-RZ,which can be clicked upto 50million.

now let's come to it's sensor.the surprising fact is,this mouse also contains the same sensor that Deathadder and Lancehead TE contain.it has PMW3389 sensor which is known as arguably the most accurate sensor in the world.the sensor can run upto 16k DPI.according to rocket jump ninja's test, the mouse has a really good surface game.it tracks from pixel to pixel very precisely and it can't be spinned out even after flicking fast.there's no sign of angle snapping, pixel skipping or jittering.since it has a higher rate of tracking speed and medium range of acceleration,it's pretty accurate and snappy and can handle fast movements with ease.this mouse has a polling rate of 1kHz.the MCU that's on the driving seat of running the polling process is NXP LPC11U68J 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0 processor.

now let's highlight the whole overview and point out it's pros and cons.
pros:-
  • contains world class sensor that can track really fast
  • braided USB cable with a sturdy build quality
  • Micro Controlling Unit is fabulous
  • sniper button
  • size and shape is preferable for palm grippers
cons:-
  • the acceleration of the sensor (50G) may affect at getting accurate output at faster movements
  • the scrolling wheel rattles
  • FPS gamers expect lightweight mouse whereas this mouse is pretty heavy(107g)
well,i can't say surely whether it is the best mouse in it's budget or not but surely worth of 70$.

thanks a lot for reading.hope my thoughts will help you get some of the important facts before buying this mouse.good luck and stay tuned for more
