Mashrafe Mortaza's Biography

Hi this is Tawhidul Islam Tanim from frenzyweb360.Today I am going to write about Bangladesh's odi captain mashrafee bin mortaza's 17 years of golden career.So let's see guys how was his career.

Mashrafe bin mortaza was born in 1983 5th October 1983,Norail,Jessore.His father name is Golam mortaza.His father supported him a lot He supported his boy to do everything he wants.His mother name is Hamida mortaza.She also supported mashrafe.From his childhood mashrafee was fond of sports.Along with cricket he played football and many other sports.But he caught the eye of Bangladesh cricket when he played a under-17 regional tournament.In that tournament he bowled well and also slammed some sixes.He was sent to a camp where west Indian legend Andy Roberts saw talent in the boy and said he could become a good fast bowler in future.He played 4 odi's against India A team and performed well He played only one domestic game for Khulna division before getting to the national team.Finally he got the chance to play for the national team which is every cricketers dream.He played his first international match against Zimbabwe at Dhaka 2001 which was a test match.In that match his performance was pretty good.Though Bangladesh lost the match but mashrafe took 4 wickets which highlighted him

After this match he did not had to look back.He kept on playing well and contributing for his team in a consistence bases. He was never dropped out from the team for his performance. He made his debut in the odi format against Zimbabwe at Chittagong 2001.He took 2 wickets in that match and Bangladesh lost the match by 5 wickets.At the early ages of mashrafe's career Bangladesh's pace bowling was not so good like today.But he was young sensation in the team.He was the fastest bowler in the team.He bowled at 140 kph at that time.He could also swing the ball.He was companied by Tapash baishya,khaled mahmud and manjarul Islam.They were experienced bowlers.But mashrafe's bowling was very important for his team at that time.He went to south africa to play his first Icc world cup.But in that world cup Bangladesh's performance was very poor.They lost the the 6 group matches they played.Bangladesh's performance was not up to the mark at that because they were new in the international arena.There were some really good fast bowlers at that time likes of Bret Lee,shoaib akter, Shane bond who were good young talented fast bowlers.But mashrafe was also known as good young sensation at that time in world cricket which was a proud thing for Bangladesh.Bangladesh achieved their one of the greatest victory against Australia at Cardiff 2005.Mashrafe played in that match and bowled well.He took 1 wicket and gave run under the rate of 4 which helped Bangladesh to restrict strong Australian batting line up to 250.Then Ashraful made a brilliant century and Bangladesh won the match by 5 wickets. In 2006 mashrafe took 6 wickets for 26 run against Kenya which was his best odi bowling figure.

 

Mashrafe reached new level and hights at 2007 world cup which was played at west indies.Bangladesh played their first match against india.Mashrafe performed brilliantly in that match.Mashrafe took 4 wickets in that match and Bangladesh won the match by 5 wickets. He took 4 wickets against very strong Indian batting.He was the man of the match in that match.That performance is still fresh in the mind of Bangladesh cricket fans.He also helped his team to achieve famous victory against south Africa.All in all mashrafe was quite outstanding in that world cup

In 2008 he got the chance to play IPL. He played for KKR. He played only one match and gave 58 runs.Then in 2009 the greatest nightmare came In mashrafe's career.BCB appointed him the Bangladesh cricket team captain.Bangladesh went to west Indies for a series. In test series mashrafe got a knee injury.Everybody throught that his injury was not so serious.Bangladesh won that test match and it was a historical win.But day by day his ingury become very serious. He could not play any cricket. Not playing cricket was very tough and sad for him because he loved cricket so much. While Bangladesh played lots of cricket under the captaincy of shakib al hasan.But the greatest sorrow and sadness were waiting for him in 2011.In 2011 Bangladesh hosted the ICC cricket world cup for the first time.It is a dream of every cricketer to play world cup in his home soil.But by the irony of fate mashrafe was out of the world cup because of his knee injury.It was very disappointing for him.He could not believe his luck.Many people thought that he might retire from international cricket.Without him Bangladesh's pace bowling attack was very inexperienced rubel and shafiul.Bangladesh managed to win 3 match in that world cup but did not able to qualify for the quarter final.Mashrafe did not give up.In 2012 the 1st BPL was held.Mashrafee was the captain of Dhaka gladiators. His team won the Bpl.In 2012 Asia cup he came back to the international cricket.But the injury grasped him again.Again he was away from cricket for a long time.In 2nd BPL He again won the championship with Dhaka being the captain.Then the darkest year of Bangladesh cricket came in 2014.It was one of the worst and poorest time of Bangladesh cricket.Bangladesh was losing match by match under the captaincy of Mushfiqur rahim.They lost all the matches in Asia. cup.They lost all the matches of T-20 world cup which was hosted by Bangladesh.Mashrafe played in that world cup.They also lost all the matches against west indies at west indies and against India at their home.So it was really very bad time for Bangladesh cricket

 Then BCB handed over the captaincy of Bangladesh team to mashrafe. His first assignment was a 5 match odi series against Zimbabwe at home.Bangladesh white washed Zimbabwe at that series. It was very important for Bangladesh because the world cup was approaching.Then mashrafe's men went to play the 2015 ICC world cup which was hosted by Australia and new Zealand.That world cup was very challanging for Bangladesh.Because the condition was very tough and Bangladesh did not played much cricket there. Bangladesh won their first match against Afghanistan.Then 5 th match was do or die match for Bangladesh against England. They won that match and it was probably the greatest victory in the history of Bangladesh cricket.Mashrafe took 2 wicket in that match which helped his team to win.Bangladesh played the quarter final which was the greatest success for Bangladesh cricket.That win was a turning point for Bangladesh.Then it was a fairy tale story for Bangladesh cricket in 2015.Bangladesh won back to back 4 home series under the captaincy of mashrafe bin mortaza.They white washed Pakistan. The won series against India and south Africa. They also white washed Zimbabwe. So it was quite remarkable performance by Bangladesh which was not possible without mashrafe.In 3 rd Bpl Mashrafe was the captain of comilla Victorians.His team was not so strong.But with his brilliant captaincy for the 3 rd time he won the BPL as a captain . In 2016 Bangladesh went to play the T-20 world cup in india. Bangladesh lost all the matches.Bangladesh achieved their biggest success in 2017 ICC champions trophy at England. After losing to England in the first match Bangladesh was in the back foot.With the help of rain they draw against Australia the game which they would have lost.But they pulled out a miracle win against new Zealand and played the semi final for the first time in an ICC's event which was a great success.

In 17 years of fantastic career mashrafe played 36 test matches and took 78 wickets. He took 4 wicket haul 4 time and his bowling average is 42.52.His best bowling figure is 4 wicket for 60 run and 79 his best score.He is the leading wicket taker for Bangladesh in odi's.In 182 odi's he took 232 wickets.His bowling average is 32.4.He took 4 wickets 8 times and 5 wickets 1 time.He also played 54 T-20 matches and took 42 wickets.He made his T-20 début against Zimbabwe in 2006 at Chittagong .In 2016 he retired from T -20 cricket.He dit not retire from test.But it is quite confirmed that he will not be able play any test cricket.

 Mashrafe's nickname is Koushik.He is also known as norail express and many people call him the boss.Why wouldn't they call him boss?Mashrafe has earned love and respect of many people. There are some great captains in world of cricket likes of Ricky pointing MS Dhoni Michael Clarke Imran khan and Kapil dev.They all are legends.Mashrafee is also a great and legendary captain. Many greats have said that he is a good captain which is a great honour for him.In Bangladesh you will hardly find any people who does not know mashrafe.From children to young boys and girls the adults and the old people everybody knows him.This much he is popular in Bangladesh .He's people's man.It will be hard to find any people in Bangladesh who hates mashrafe.Mashrafe had 7 knee operations. There is no fast bowler who had this many operations Lots of fast bowlers gave up their career because of injury.New Zealand fast bowler Shane bond retired from international cricket for injury. Having 7 operations in his knee mashrafe did not give up.It is very difficult for him to continue cricket with so many injuries.But love for cricket did not let him to give up.He proved that cricket is not just a game to him it's a more than a game.He plays cricket with high risk.He knows that if he gets injured again he will not be able to play cricket.He might even become lame.But above all his country is more important than any other thing to him He is like a freedom fighter. The freedom fighters fought bravely for their country. Mashrafe is almost the same.Undoubtedly he is the greatest and successful captain for Bangladesh.In his 50 odi match as a captain Bangladesh won 24 matches.Mashrafe bin mortaza might be captain for bangladesh till 2019 ICC world cup.The he contributed for his team he definitely deserves to win a world cup.Present team is very much capable of doing so.We'll have to wait and see how much can they make it possible.
