After Market Analysis : Episode 1. **Which CPU To buy at my budget?

Hi,And welcome to today's first episode of our brand new series, After Market Analysis, Episode One!

Basically This is a series where we will talk about which things you should buy or which one will be better for you in certain price points. This, we think will be specially helpful to the peoples who are planning to buy a new computer, but not sure which part they should take at that price due to the huge market varieties!

At the first episode of our After Market analysis series,we will suggest you which processors.
Though this episode is going to be a lot more interesting, Due to the fact that in this year,we have a huge competition from AMD,Unlike even 1 or 2 years ago when Intel was kinda the only ruler in the market.
But this year,The consumer market changed drastically due to the inclusion on AMD’S Ryzen CPU Line-up.Even Intel God distracted and got forced to Launch their Kaby-Lake X/Sky-Lake X/Coffee Lake chips early than they should’ve been. That's why there is so many options available right now,for which Customers can easily get puzzled for.

That's why,we are here today, with our first episode of After market analysis, Your Guy Ahnaf Malik Siam will talk you through about which processors to buy for your next rig!

Before Starting,I would like to point out This episode is made without any kind of Biasness. If you still think that its not upto your choice, please refer according to your own choice.

As always,we will start from the bottom here.since in this post.Since we are talking about a average person here,we’d suggest you guys for a budget of upto 32k.

Budget:Under 1000BDT

If you’re going to build a system only for web browsing, A bit of office work and so on,Chances are you don't have a great budget for that.it's true that in 1000BDT,You won't able to find a new chip, but instead you will find some pretty okay deals on some Low end processors.
If you are planning to get something under/within 500Bdt,You will find Old 1st Gen Intel Pentium dual cores,But if you are lucky, you might be lucky enough to snatch even a Intel Core To Duos. These are not any kinda special chips though,It will just get your job done.Pair it with an cheap G41 motherboard, making sure that It supports DDR3 Ram,Cause Finding ddr2 rams Are quite a challenge these days,And basically you will get a system that can handle basic tasks like Microsoft office,Web browsing/watching videos etc.You can also play some old /low end games on this easily. Luckily deals on these low end processors are all over the place as these ones are still one of the most used cpu’s here in BD.So,you will find enough of them!

And if your budget is around the high 1k mark, then you will find basically Intel core to duos and Intel’s second gen pentiums.I would suggest The 2nd gen pentiums here as they are the newest out of them,so it packs a lot of advancement over its predecessors. It will also perform a lot better in Most of the tasks due to the architectural advancements and The inclusion of Intel HD Graphics,Which, is a lot better than those found on Previous gen’s motherboards,The intel Graphics Media Accelerator.
Pair it with a H61 motherboard, which will throw you back around 1.5k 2nd hand, while packing a lot more advancements,And a DDR3 stick, you will be good to go!And if you pair it with some low end gpu’s,These pentiums will be even good for playing Games Like GTA V,Though don't expect too much out of it.
However,These pentiums are kinda hard to find,so Just be patient, and search for a deal.It will be a lot better investment instead of buying something like those core to duos.

Budger:2000-3000BDT

In this budget, You’ll find basically two options here. One is Intel Core to Quads, with 4Cores and Intel 2nd/3rd Gen core i3’s, With Two cores, but with hyperthreading technology. Ones again,I will suggest to go with the Core I3 Route,as they packs a lot more architectural advancements and they will perform a lot better, even though they have two less cores but the hyperthreading technology.

Ones again, you can pair it with a 2nd hand H61, and others,Throwing a gpu on that, you still will be a lot capable for decent 720p gaming. In fact, these i3’s are still a very good gaming cpu choice specially for those who are in a very restricted budget.I would suggest to throw in something like an 2nd hand GTX 750Ti, and you will be able to play a lot of games at a very cheap system!
Yet,again, they are kind off hard to find. But,after searching for a while, you’ll always find a cheap and a good value deal, which I think actually is a must for buying second-hand components!

Budget:4000-5000BDT

This is when you guys will start to find new processors, particularly the Intel Pentium G4560 at 4900BDT(Link-click here)
Though you may find Better deals on Some Second -Hand 4th/6th gen core i3’s or AMD Fx6300 at that price, honestly, buying those second hand will be a foolish idea as this g4560 beats them in performance and It is totally on par in performance with the 6th gen I3 6100.Therefor,This CPU is one “Outstanding value”.

We’ve already talked in depth about it in one of our posts,if you haven't seen that one,Go ahead and check it.In one word,This CPU is a beast!

Intel Pentium G4560-http://www.startech.com.bd/intel-7th-gen-pentium-processor-g4560

Budget:6000-7000BDT

In this budget, though you won't find any noticeable Brand new processors, but you may find some deals on some old 2nd or 3rd generation Intel Core I5 processors and also Some AMD FX cpus like Fx 8120/8320 Etc.They are some solid processor never the less,Though finding compatible motherboards with fx processors are a lot harder to find, and they also require a good amount of cooling. thus why,I would recommend to skip these. However I5 ‘s are a good value processors for gaming and they are still plenty powerful for some, given that you have a powerful enough GPU.Again,a H61/H67 Motherboard will be a good pair with these chips,as they are pretty cheap. However none of these cpu’s are easy to find and when they are listed for sale, they often get sold out very quickly for their good bang for buck. so you have to keep an eye out for that.however,I would suggest you guys to buy the new pentium G4560 instead, unless you need those extra power.

Budget:8000-10000BDT

In this budget, you guys will find New Intel core i3’s.Though,you guys should totally skip that as the performance is nothing special compared to even half the priced Intel Pentium G4560’s.If you are planning for a whole new system and you have this kind of money left for the processor,I would suggest to Get the G4560 Instead and spend the extra For getting a better gpu,That will result in a much better experience, Specially if you are a Gamer.

Going with 2nd Hand Route, you guys will find 2nd Hand 4th and 6th gen Core i5’s.These Cpu’s will be the smartest choice to go for in these budget as they are quite often found on sale places and they packs an incredible punch in performance. You can even pair it with a sort of mid end gpu like the GTX 1060,And can enjoy 1080P High/Ultra Gaming. That's why it's no wonder that these are still quite popular choice to the buyers and that's why The selling rate is kind off insane!Whenever you guys will see a deal for these, I will say snatch into that one,Cause they will get sold very quickly.

Budget:Over 10000-13000BDT

In this budget,You guys will actually find some pretty Damn good value processors which are brand new!

First one in this list will be the AMD’S Ryzen 3 1200! A unlocked chip with 4Cores and 4Threads with a huge punch to Intels’Old Kaby-Lake and even its newest coffee lake I3 in some ways!
Priced at 11000BDT,This AMD Ryzen 3 1200 is an superb Value!Though The 1300x is 2.5k more at 13.5k,but really there is no difference on these chips other than some minor clock -Speed differences. And when you compare that both of these chips are unlocked and kinda hits the same frequency, there is no point for buying the 1300x,In my opinion.Though Intel recently challenged its position with their latest Coffee lake 8Th gen Core i3 8100,Costing 500tk Less at 10,500BDT,even though it performs better in gaming than the R3 1200/1300x,But motherboards for this starts at whopping around 16k BDT,still with no overclocking on the i3 one,But Where as you can buy an Asrock B350M Pro 4 Motherboard for 8,500BDT,And can get the heck out of that Ryzen 3 by over-clocking it!
Of course the scenario might change in January when intel is said to launch The other chipsets for the 8th gen,but you also have to keep it in mind that AMD will also launch their zen 2 processors in February, which also can cause a massive upside down in this fragments!
Again,This processor can handle some mid range gpu like The GTX 1060,And you can easily enjoy some 1080P Ultra gaming!
So in this budget, this one will be my choice!

AMD Ryzen 3 1200-http://www.startech.com.bd/amd-ryzen-3-1200-processor

Budget:14000-16000BDT

This is where stuffs get really interesting. You will basically find 7th gen/8th gen intel i5’s like the 7500&8400 and also AMD’s Ryzen 5 1400CPU.
Though,Intel’s 8Th gen 8400 will be the hands down winner here with its 6Core/6Threads,but If you consider the fact that the motherboard price is almost twice of what you should normally pay with the 7th gen i5’s and the R5 1400.Therefore,at least for now,I would rule it out from my suggestion.

Now,Comparing the old i5’s with the R5 1400,you guys should know something about it.
In gaming at stock frequency, I5 7500’s will beat out the R5 1400 in that perspective. But,when overclocked, you can match R5’s gaming performance with that one and When you consider the fact that you can overclock the chip using stock cooler and, you can find a Overclockable B350 Chipset Motherboard for as same price as the Non overclockable Intel B250 One,I don't think you will have a doubt in mind for which one to go for!

In Workload/Cpu intensive Scenarios, The R5 1400 will perform almost as same as the intel Core i7 7700,and maybe even match it when overclocked, due to its hyper-threading Technology(4core/8thread) which is absent on 7th gen i5’s.Actually there wont be any match for i5s when compared to The ryzen 5 1400 in that department.

That's why overall,R5 1400 will hands down be my Pick for this price category. You can also pair mid-high end gpus like GTX 1070 with this chip without any problem! At this current stage,The Ryzen 5 is the winner without any doubt.

AMD Ryzen 5 1400-http://www.startech.com.bd/amd-ryzen-5-1400

Budget:17000-20000BDT

In this budget,Many might say,the best ryzen has to offer,The famous Ryzen 5 1600 Can be found which Goes for 18,000 BDT In Bangladesh. This Processor Is hands down one of the best chips you can buy for pretty much everything. Though you can also find Intel 7th gen I5 7600k, which, even though being unlocked,Is almost the similar case like the R5 1400 vs the i5 7500 one. So,I don't think I need to describe it again. In fact,This processor even beats much more expensive 7th gen intel Core i7 7700k in a lot of cpu horsepower intensive tasks.
and, even though you can overclock the 7600k this time to get even better gaming performance, but you have to keep it in mind that It will require a much better cooling solution in order to do that as it doesn't come with any sort of cooling solution, and you will require at least a Overclockable Z270 Motherboard, which, is a lot more expensive than the B350 Motherboards and R5 1600 also comes pre-included with Pretty Beefy Wraith spire(Non-RGB) cooling solution, which is enough to push this 6core 12thread beast to around 3.8Ghz Easily with temps less than 80*C.

That's why,Once again,Ryzen will win in this category too.In fact,I will say that this chip will be the perfect one for those who are searching for a cpu which is both great for gaming and perfect for Cpu intensive tasks.
Though I5 will give overall higher Fps in theory in Games, but, you should consider the fact that how much more you have to spend on a 7600k system for a Cooler,More Expensive Motherboard where as,you can put that extra money in the R5 1600 system to buy a better gpu, which, will overall give better fps and performance in your system. That's why, hands down the best and the most worth it CPU in this price point will be the AMD Ryzen 5 1600!

Though you can also find Ryzen 5 1500x at 17,500,But its case is same as the R3 1200 and 1300x,and buying 1600 for 500tk more will be the much better option for you.

AMD Ryzen 5 1600-http://www.startech.com.bd/amd-ryzen-5-1600

Budget:Over20000-26000BDT

This is the moment when you will enter into the high end category for the consumer market. In this budget you will basically find Intel’s 8th gen i5 8600k,7th gen i7 7700k,and AMD’s Ryzen 5 1600x and the Ryzen 7 1700.

Intel 8th gen 8600k is a really good competitor, offering both Good multi core performance, overclockability and Good gaming performance. However, 8600k is yet to arrive in bangladeshi Market and We are not sure what will be the pricing yet,but it will be around 21k as far as we know.
So,If you are thinking about the 7700,I will suggest to skip it and wait a bit if you want to go with only intel route, and even 8400 will beat out the 7700.So buying it now won't be a wise decision at all.

But if you want something which absolutely crushes cpu intensive tasks like a butter in this budget, though may not perform as well in gaming as the 8600 yet performs enough, yet, amd shines here again.AMD’s Ryzen 7 1700 Comes at only 26,000 BDT with monstrous 8Cores and 16Threads.it also comes with a beefy CPU Cooler,The wraith Spire RGB version, which you can use to overclock upto 3.7-3.8Ghz.The chip is very cool and doesn't require high end cooling to reach its max potential overclock, unlike the intel offerings.Considering the fact that the motherboards are also cheaper, Its no wonder why The Ryzen 7 1700 is one of the most praised cpu’s In the world. It offers so much for such a price, that you just can't argue with!

It just absolutely crushes Intel’s old offering like the i7 7700k,which doesn't even stand a chance, other than the only the gaming department, which is to be expected because this chip is really marketed towards the Ones who will require that much power from all of its 8 cores. But if you are not planning for some high refresh-rate Gaming,This cpu is more than enough to keep you up with your 60Hz Display.

I Don't think I need to say anything more here about the R5 1600x,Cause You already know why to choose 1600 over the 1600x if you read my whole post till now.

Therefore,I would like to recommend two different chips here,The Intel Core i5 8600k and the AMD ryzen 7 1700,however since the i5 is not available till now in our country, I will give the crown to The Ryzen 7 1700 here.

AMD Ryzen 7 1700-http://www.startech.com.bd/amd-ryzen-7-1700

Budget:Around 30000BDT

The last suggestion from us will be from around 30,000BDT,Because we think that any General Consumer Doesn't need or have the budget to buy anything more than this price category. Above this price point,It will be basically the Enthusiast grade chips,And they won't perform any better in stuffs like gaming. So most of you guys won't need that at all! That's why we are skipping over this price point, but if you have any questions, you can let us know in the comment section below!

The only processor in this category today will be Intel’s 8Th gen Core i7 8700k.Its a Six core 12 threaded chip, like the Ryzen 5 1600/1600x,which goes for around 30k in BD market. However, due to the much higher clock speeds,It is almost in par/better than the Ryzen 7 1700/1700x’s in cpu intensive workloads and in Gaming,it absolutely crushes everything at this moment, Making it the world's Fastest gaming chip. So in this budget, 8700k will hands down be the winner, though you have to keep it in mind that the Z370 Motherboards are quite expensive than they should’ve been, It requires a beefy cooling System to even run it its stock speeds, and when it comes to overclocks,Though it can achieve some crazy high clockspeeds,It will require at least a 240mm Liquid cooling(Not the cheaper ones) or a giant Tower air cooler Like the Noctua NH-D15.However,if you can afford that, this chip will be the winner here.

Though Some of you might point out to the R7 1700x from AMD,which goes for around 32000BDT,But again,Its the same case with other “x” ones and you really should buy the r7 1700 instead. You will get the same overclock and the same performance under same cooling conditions, and you won't get that gorgeous cooling solution like the R7 1700.So,In my opinion,R7 1700x is not worth it at all.

So,that's all for today.like I said already,If you have any questions, make sure to comment to let us answer them and, Thanks for reading the whole post.Make sure to stay tuned to follow up to more posts in this series which is coming soon and also many more exciting stuffs!
