Gamdias DEMETER E1 Review
hey guys,it's Mashhud Hasan from frenzyweb360.today i'm here with a review of a budget worthy gaming mouse named Gamdias DEMETER E1.first of all,we are really thankful to Startech for providing us this gaming mouse for review cause without them,we wouldn't be able to gift you guys this review.and huge thanks to one of our members Ahnaf Malik Siam for convincing Startech to give this review sample.
this mouse is available in Startech priced at 1,100BDT(including NYX E1 mousepad).here's the product link-click here
now without further thinking, let's jump into it
first of all,i want to talk about it's packaging.it was a great unboxing experience.the package was sealed and the mouse & mousepad was bundled inside the package very methodically.
after unboxing the mouse and laying my hand on it,i was really impressed with it's chassis.the body of this mouse is rubberized and there was a logo of Gamdias on the palm rest which reflects with yellow light after plugging in.
now let's talk about it's outer parts.the shape of the mouse is pretty easeful and it's more comfortable for fingertip and palm grippers than claw grippers.due to having a rubberized grip, the mouse won't slip from sweaty hand after a long period of gaming.there's no thumb rest on the mouse.the palm rest is very wide and you can lay your hand on it with ease and comfort.
this mouse has a total of 6 buttons, left & right buttons, side buttons on both of the side,a DPI changing button and a scroll wheel.the backward button is on the left side and the forward button is placed on the right side of the mouse.you can change the DPI in 4 different modes(1200/1600/2000/3200 DPI) with the DPI button.side buttons are very easy to reach.the scroll wheel is rubberized.left and right buttons are a bit hard to press but it's ok for me.you can feel the crisp of these buttons and I've tested the response speed of the left & right buttons at "Key Response PK" software and they've performed really well.
as we can see above, the latency of the clicks barely go above 1ms and most of the clicks' latency are around 0.2-0.4ms.some of the clicks are accidentally crossing 5ms though but it is not significant.the average latency per click is 2.54ms.which means, the response speed is really fast and the performance was more than what I've expected.
the responsiveness of the cursor movement was amazing.in every mice,MCU(Micro Controller Unit) plays a huge role.that unit determines the physical movement of the mouse with the help of the sensor and converts it into cursor movement according to DPI and it inputs the signal to PC.polling rate is it's measurement.this mouse's polling rate is very good and I've tested it in "Zowie Mouse Rate Checker".
sometimes the polling rate has dropped to 95-105Hz but most of the time it consistently runs at 120-125Hz.this polling rate is enough for gaming and all other works.
now we're going to analyze about the most important part of this mouse,is it's sensor.
DEMETER E1 features an optical sensor that can run upto 3200DPI.this can be adjusted into 4 different modes.this sensor is quite accurate.I've tested it's accuracy at "Mouse DPI Analyzer"and I'm letting you guys know about it's result down below.
*the accuracy of the cursor movement was 68.58% at 1200DPI+6/11 Windows Sensitivity.
*86.33% accuracy at 1200DPI+8/11 Windows Sensitivity.
*76.84% accuracy at 3200DPI+6/11 Windows Sensitivity.
*100+ % accuracy at 3200DPI+8/11 Windows Sensitivity. [pixel skipping got detected]
I've tested the accuracy in two different DPI settings and Windows Sensitivity and found that ,the mouse performed best at 1600DPI and 8/11 Windows Sensitivity, where it's accuracy was over whopping 85%.at higher Windows Sensitivity settings, this sensor starts decelerating but this issue can be prevented if that sensitivity is settled at lower rate.I've also found that,if gamers can settle the DPI as much as they can while settling the Windows Sensitivity as low as they can according to their convenient number, they'll get the best of this mouse cause this mouse's sensor is a very accurate tracker.
I've also tested it's tracking ability with a software called "FPS Style Reaction Speed Test" and I'm letting you guys know about it's performance here.
in this test I've found out that this mouse tracks more precise on x-axis movements than y-axis movements and the ratio between this mouse's tracking accuracy and frequency spectrum of polling rate is excellent.I've also tested this mouse at RPG games and the cursor doesn't spin out at rapid horizontal movements.which means, the sensor is snappy and it's tracking speed is really good.
finally,i want to talk about Gamdias NYX E1 mousepad which is available for free with the DEMETER E1.
it is created with double layer fabrics.the quality is very good there's an attractive logo of Gamdias at the bottom right of the mousepad.due to it's slippery behave, the mouse can be glided on it very fast and comfortably.
so finally,i want to summarize that,as an entry lvl gaming mouse, this mouse performs very well.it's responsiveness of the buttons are really fast,it has a higher polling rate and accuracy, and it tracks very well.the look of this mouse is really aggressive and the design of it's chassis is attractive.one thing to mention that, the sensor of this mouse stutters a bit at the hard surface.to avoid this issue, mousepad is recommended to use.I've given all the tests and performances of this mouse and it has proven that the specifications of this mouse aren't just marketing gimmick.in my opinion, this is one of the best entry lvl mice and best mouse at the budget of 1.1k BDT.
thanks a lot for reading.i hope this will help you decide whether you should buy it or not and as always, stay tuned for more.
