Sanju Samson's brilliant unbeaten 92

Yesterday Sanju Samson played an absolutely gem of a knock. He scored 92* off just 45 balls against Royal Challengers Bangalore. He really showed that how highly talented batsman he is. Because of his brilliant innings Rajasthan Royals won their 2nd match in vivo IPL 2018. Hi this is Tanim from Frenzytitans360. Today i'm going to analyze Sanju Samson's Brilliant match winning innings.

This was the 11th match of vivo IPL 2018 which was played at M.Chinnaswamy, Bangalore. Normally Chinnaswamy's wicket is always good for batting. In this match the wicket was very flat. Because of the short boundary stroke making is easy at this ground. Bangalore's captain won the toss and elected to bowl first. Rajasthan's captain Rahane gave his team a good start. He really played some good shots. Then he got out scoring 36(20). Sanju Samson came out to bat at no.3. Now let's go to the in depth analysis of Samson's wonderful innings.

When Samson came to bat rajsthan were 49/1 in 5.4 overs. In the 7th over they lost the wicket of D'Arcy short. Losing two quick wickets Rajasthan were in a spot of bother. From that position Samson brought his team back in the match. He is a very elegant looking and hard hitting batsman. He built a good partnership with Ben stokes. Samson opened his boundary account by playing a beautiful pull shot for six. In the 8th over Khejroliya bowled a short bowl and Samson pulled the bowl over deep square leg. After that shot Samson did not have to look back. He was absolutely unstoppable. He just kept on playing his shots. In the first bowl of the 11th over Samson played an amazing lofted on drive over long on against Sundar for his 2nd maximum of the innings. Meanwhile, Ben stokes was also batting well with him. But after the loss of Stokes Rajsthan were again under pressure. Then he build a good partnership with Buttler. In the 14th over he hit his 3rd six. Negi bowled a short bowl and he rocked back on to the back foot and pulled the bowl over deep mid wicket. The ball traveled 81 meters. Again it was a terrific shot by him. Rajsthan were 131/3 after 15 over. Samson was 34* off 26 ball. So the thrilling action of his knock was yet to come.

In the first bowl of the 16th over Umesh Yadav bowled a juicy full toss and Samson hit the bowl over deep mid wicket for six. With that six he unleashed his hard hitting game. In the 2nd bowl of the 17th over Samson slogged a short bowl over deep mid wicket for six. He reached to his fifty from 34 balls. It was his 9th IPL fifty. In the 18th over He played a lofted off drive over long off. In the next bowl he again played a tremendous lofted off drive over long off for six. The ball traveled 84 meters. In the 4th bowl of the 9th over Woakes bowled a good length slow bowl and Samson just lofted the ball over long on for his 8th six of the innings. With that six he became the first batsman in IPL to hit most sixes without a four. So really it was quite unbelievable. In the next bowl he scored his first four. His 10th six of the innings was a tremendous lofted cover drive over deep extra cover. The distance of that six was 89 meters. That was probably the best shot of his innings. Rajasthan Royals scored 217/4 in 20 overs. Sanju Samson remained not out on 92 off just 45 balls. He hit 10 sixes and 2 fours. His strike rate was 204.44 which was phenomenal.

This was truly a special innings played by Sanju Samson. This is one of his best knocks in IPL. We all know that he's a really talented batsman. But with this innings he really proved that he's a pure hard hitter and also has tremendous ball striking ability. Hitting 10 sixes in an innings is a special effort. He also showed that he can bat under pressure. When he came to bat Rajasthan were struggling. But he handled the pressure and batted calmly. He was once 34 from 26 ball. So he was batting sensibly. But in the last 5 overs he really took on the bowlers. He played some huge shots. In the last 5 overs he played 19 balls and scored 58 runs. So really it was a special effort by him. The good thing of his innings was that he timed the ball perfectly. He also found the sweet part of the bat almost every occasion. His innings was a tremendous exhibition of clean hitting. He played shots on both side of the wicket. He hit some lusty blows in the leg side. And his lofted drives were wonderful to watch. Sanju Samson really has the potential to play for the national team. But for now we need to watch out for him in the rest of the season.
